Rajshahi, located in northwestern Bangladesh, has a storied history rooted in the Pundra Kingdom. It flourished as a center of education, trade, and culture under the Maurya, Gupta, and Pala dynasties. During the Mughal era, it became a silk-production hub. Later, under British rule, it evolved into an administrative and educational center.
